To be honest, the similarities I found between these two almost made me tear up a bit. They have the same expressions, similar situations, even the cuts on their faces are similar… and that’s what makes it sad to me. The fact that they both went through something like this is depressing to say the least. They both know what it’s like to truly love and cherish someone and then blame themselves for that person’s death, despite a hollow clearly being the one who caused their death…. They know each other’s pain, they know what it’s like to lose someone special, to blame themselves for years and years when it wasn’t their fault, they just know so..  I think this is one of the reasons why their bond is so strong…stronger than any of the other bonds in Bleach.
